— wife, mom of five, proud grandmother, and dog mom.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family or serving at my church. My faith is also at the heart of the story behind 5and2 Business Services.
After more than 20 years in the hotel industry, I learned that successful businesses don’t run on revenue alone. They run on strong financial management, healthy cash flow, and a clear understanding of what the numbers are actually saying.
My career took me through Sales, Operations, Food & Beverage, and ultimately Revenue Management, where I spent more than a decade focused on the financial performance of hotel properties. I developed annual budgets, prepared monthly and quarterly forecasts, analyzed P&Ls, and worked with key performance metrics including EBITDA, GOP, and NOI.
But behind all those reports and metrics were a few simple questions:
Is the business profitable? Where is the money going? And how much is actually left at the end of the month?
Those are the same questions many small business owners struggle to answer today.
When I stepped away from hospitality, I knew I wanted to use my experience to help business owners gain that same level of financial clarity.
More than five years ago, I founded 5and2 Business Services with a vision of providing more than bookkeeping. I wanted to help business owners understand their numbers, improve cash flow, identify what is driving—or hurting—profitability, and make better decisions about the future of their business.
Today, I work alongside small business owners, with a particular focus on construction businesses, churches, nonprofits, and service-based organizations.
My approach combines accurate bookkeeping with financial visibility and practical support. Because clean books are important—but knowing what to do with the information is where the real value begins.
For construction businesses, that means looking beyond the basic P&L to understand job costs, margins, cash flow, project profitability, and the connection between accounting and day-to-day operations.
I also help new entrepreneurs build a solid foundation through guidance with business formation and registered agent support, helping them spend less time navigating administrative details and more time building their business.
The name 5and2 is inspired by the biblical account of Jesus feeding the five thousand with five loaves and two fish. It also has a personal connection to my own family—five children and two parents.
Starting my own business was something I felt called to do long before I took the leap. Like many business owners, I’ve had moments when I wondered whether what I had was enough—enough experience, resources, or opportunity to build what I envisioned.
The story of the five loaves and two fish reminds me that what may seem small can become something much greater when placed in the right hands. I carry that perspective into my business, along with two verses that have guided me throughout the journey: Philippians 4:13 and Proverbs 16:3.
That purpose continues to shape how I serve my clients today.
I want business owners to understand their finances and feel confident in the decisions they’re making—not simply receive another set of financial reports.
My goal is simple: to bring clarity, structure, and confidence to your finances so you can focus on running—and growing—the business you worked so hard to build.
